Angela Kilgore

Angela Kilgore graduated from Purdue University in 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Minor in Psychology. Upon graduation, Angela went to work at Area IV Agency on Aging where she worked with the Aging and Disabled Community of Fountain, Warren, and Benton Counties. While working full time, she began working on her Master's Degree in Social Work. She did an internship at Mental Health America where she learned about the stigma surrounding mental health. Angela completed her final internship at the Veterans Administration in Danville, Illinois. Angela graduated and received her MSW from IUPUI in December of 2016.

Shortly after graduation, Angela sat for her Licensed Social Worker Exam and passed. Angela went to work at Sycamore Springs where she learned extensively about addiction and mental health. She worked in both the inpatient and outpatient settings at Sycamore Springs. Angela left Sycamore Springs and went to Meridian Addiction and Recovery Center where she worked on developing a 21-day curriculum that integrated Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and the 12 Steps.

Angela has lived in the Fountain County area since 2006. She has a wonderful husband and two darling children. In her free time, Angela likes to read, cook, bake, can food, and go for walks. Angela is excited to be given the opportunity to work in the community where she lives. She is also looking forward to giving back to the community that has given her so much.
